A. Explanation + Exceptions
Stative verbs express a state, feeling, possession, condition, or thought. They usually do NOT take continuous form (❌ I am knowing / ✔ I know).
Dual-use verbs (can be stative OR action depending on meaning): think, have, taste, see, feel
NEVER used in continuous: belong, own, seem, consist, contain, resemble, prefer
